Michael is currently the one man team behind Dark Angel Pictures. He created the comapny in November 2005 after making his first "film" Art Wars. It was there he found a passion for film making and hasn't stopped since.
Michael can turn his hand to almost anything having done everything in his films at some point, Directing, Producing, writing, editing, cinematography, sound, and visual effects. Michael does like to concentrate on directing however, so gets other specialist crew members to tackle the other roles when he can.
Michael spent 2009-2012 studying on the BA(hons) Degree course in Film Production at the University for the Creative Arts at Farnham where he was been involved in the making of fiction and documentary films using black and white 16mm film, colour super 16mm film and various digital formats in varying roles from pre-post production, gaining experience and education in all the key roles of film production.
Michael's ultimate goal is to break into the film industry and eventually become a fully fledged recognised fiction director.
To achieve this end Michael enters all the festivals and competitions he can to get noticed his first job on set was as a grip trainee on the short film "Bale" made by Elephant Gun Films in 2008 - which resulted in his own page on IMDb and was most recently 1st Assistant Director on feature film "Jack the Giant Killer" in late 2012 for The Asylum.
Michael is always looking to gain more experience and get his name out into the industry and would happily consider any offers for experience or paid work.
Michael has an ever expanding collection of film equipment including cameras, lens and sound gear. He also has experience with multiple other cameras, such as various DSLR's, the Pansonic HVX200, Arri SR2, Canon XL-1 and software including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Avid and more.
